I coach for clarity, perspective and choice. I work with CEO’s, key executives, and high potentials on what it means to be a leader and a human being in a business context. I also work with individuals who are asking, “What’s next?” both personally and professionally. My clients benefit from my 30 years of corporate experience in senior human resources and coaching roles. I bring a unique perspective on how businesses operate and how individuals succeed by focusing on what is important. Once clients define their values, they are able to make the right choices that move their business, their career, their life forward. As an HR consultant to small and medium sized businesses, I help CEOs define their strategic direction. My focus is on developing a talent management strategy that insures an organization has clear success factors, hires the right people and keeps them fully engaged and productive. In addition, I conduct a variety of professional and personal development workshops for organizations and groups. I am certified in EQ-I 2.0 and EQ-I 2.0 360; MRG’s Leadership Effectiveness Analysis (self and 360), Strategic Directions, Role Expectations, and Leadership Culture assessments.

How pricing works
CoachMarket pre-negotiates the best prices for our career coaches, and will match you with a coach that fits your budget. Coaches will recommend a package to you based on your needs that includes a suggested number of sessions and deliverables.
Typical price ranges
Our coaches typically charge between $150-$350 an hour. The exact rate depends on the type of coaching expertise, years of experience and industry background. Coaching requires a series of sessions to be effective and coaches may offer special rates when creating a package of multiple sessions.
Billing and payments
Coaches will create a pricing package for you during the FREE consultation and you pay CoachMarket online using any major credit card prior to starting work with your coach. You will receive an email with a link to the payment page once you have agreed to a plan with your coach.

Business Coaching – executives, high potentials, managers who are looking to step into their full potential, or navigate the stresses of their roles. Engagements are typically six months; other packages are available. Programs includes assessments, conversations with key stakeholders, action plan development, one-to-one coaching and success metrics. Engagements are tailored to an individual’s situation and business context.

Individual coaching: for anyone who wonders, “What’s Next?” and is looking for clarity in finding their True North. My role is to help a client define personal values, learn where the client wants to be, what gets in the way, and how to move forward with confidence. One-to-one coaching in person or by phone.

Human Resources Consulting: with senior executives in strategic planning, with a focus on talent. My work includes identifying competencies; assessing the talent pool, and talent development, using coaching and experiential workshops, among others.

I also consult on talent acquisition/selection and mobility. Diversity is woven into all programs.

Workshops: for various businesses and organizations. Topics of these highly interactive meetings include: Conversations for Top Performance; Strategic Selection: Hire Right the First Time; Don’t Manage Time; Managing Across the Generations; Manager as Coach.

Barbara’s background includes senior level HR positions at Grey Advertising, Sumitomo Bank Financial services, Accenture and Katz Media Group, part of Clear Channel Media & Entertainment. She has both created and upgraded Human Resources departments to become strategic business partners, adding value to the organizations.

Barbara’s true interest has been developing leaders and empowering managers to excel. That interest, coupled with her strongly held belief that many people are seeking to discover what’s important to them and then live it, led to her certification with The Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and the International Coaching Federation (ACC). She has an undergraduate degree from Hunter College, and an MS/ILR from Baruch/Cornell.

A high potential Vice President was sent to me by his female boss to help him become confident when dealing with male senior executives. Over the course of our six-month engagement, we worked on discovering Sam’s* values, exploring how he wanted to show up at work (and at home), what the barriers were, and action plans to overcome them.

Success came when he and his boss were at a meeting with the company’s most important client, Mr. Allen*. After Mr. Allen gave his opinion on the direction of the project, Sam presented his own, differing point of view. At that, Mr. Allen remarked: “This is the first time in all the years we’ve worked together, that you’ve told me what I needed to hear, not what you thought I wanted to hear.” Sam’s boss said, “Meet the new Sam!” (*names have been changed)


A private client was trying to decide what her next career steps were. She was on the verge of taking a new job, but still had doubts it was the right thing. The job turned out to be totally out of sync with her values. Over the course of our ten month engagement, we uncovered her values, she gained clarity on what was important to her, who she wanted to be and how she wanted to show up in her life. She eventually left this job to pursue her true passion. She now has a successful practice in the field of sustainability.
