I am an executive career coach with a background in business and MBA career management, an MBA from the Wharton School, and PCC credential from the ICF. I spent almost 6 years as a career coach to MBA students at UCLA Anderson where I held over 2,000 coaching sessions and also lectured on topics ranging from self-assessment to interview skills. I combine executive coaching with career advising to help professionals (ranging from mid-career to executives to mothers looking to relaunch careers) identify their core values and align skills, interests, and personal values to find careers that are meaningful and fulfilling. Throughout the process I also teach valuable career development skills (networking, personal branding, interviewing, etc.) that are accompanied with exercises and guides I have developed. In my coaching I also leverage my personal experience successfully navigating career transitions in highly competitive industries such as investment banking, management consulting, and brand management

How pricing works
CoachMarket pre-negotiates the best prices for our career coaches, and will match you with a coach that fits your budget. Coaches will recommend a package to you based on your needs that includes a suggested number of sessions and deliverables.
Typical price ranges
Our coaches typically charge between $150-$350 an hour. The exact rate depends on the type of coaching expertise, years of experience and industry background. Coaching requires a series of sessions to be effective and coaches may offer special rates when creating a package of multiple sessions.
Billing and payments
Coaches will create a pricing package for you during the FREE consultation and you pay CoachMarket online using any major credit card prior to starting work with your coach. You will receive an email with a link to the payment page once you have agreed to a plan with your coach.

I take a holistic approach and coach the whole person, helping a client understand their values, vision and goals, as well as bringing awareness to any underlying perspectives or beliefs that may be holding a client back. I combine coaching with career advising where I provide cutting edge strategic and tactical career development advice (and teach skills such as networking, interviewing etc) to create plans that are immediately actionable.

Services include:

Self Assessment: Using an in-depth survey and a proprietary "priorities matrix" I help you uncover your values, vision, and what is most important to you in your career and life. I am also certified in the Career Leader Assessment, a tool used by the top business schools in the country to dig into 3 factors -- skills, interests, and motivators -- to determine a possible career match.

Skills & Accomplishment Inventory: Together we will conduct an in-depth analysis of your skills and experiences, and we brainstorm opportunities for you to leverage the skills you love to use (not just the skills you’re good at!). I will also help identify potential paths where you can translate skills you already have into career options you may not have thought about.

Career Exploration: I will help you come up with various career paths to explore and experiment. Experimentation is an important part of career change. Instead of jumping to the next opportunity (or next "bright shiny object"), it's important to test it out, try it on, and see if it "fits". I will work with you to lay out a plan for exploring and testing various paths.

Going beyond Job Boards: We’ll help you look beyond job boards to implement a proactive plan to locate career opportunities that are the best fit for you. You’ll learn how to research companies and industries so you’re educated and informed – making you the leader in your own career journey.

Personal Branding: I'll work with you to develop your brand and communicate your story in a concise elevator pitch. You’ll learn how to create a targeted resumé and cover letter that highlight your relevant skills for every opportunity, and I'll show you how to broadcast your unique value proposition with a powerful LinkedIn profile.

Networking: My sophisticated networking strategies will get you traction in your targeted industries. Networking—not job boards—is where most jobs are found. You’ll tap into your natural curiosity to make and leverage connections and build advocates. I'll prepare you for informational interviews so they feel natural and fun and not like “schmoozing.” I'll teach you the skills to follow up with your contacts so you nurture and build your networking relationships.

Nail the Interview: In order to land a job in today’s competitive marketplace, you need to know how to wow employers in the interview. Through in-depth mock interviews, I will provide you with the tools you need to make a memorable impression and highlight why you’re the best fit for the job. I draw on my own experience navigating some of the most rigorous interviews across investment banking, management consulting, and marketing companies as well as my 6 years of experience coaching and teaching top MBA students cutting edge interview skills.

On-the-Job Success Coaching: Whether you’re new to the job or striving for the next promotion, I can help you be 100% effective. Together, we will evaluate your job description and performance evaluations and develop an action plan so you can make an impact and add value. I also support you in developing strategies to build your network internally so you can build advocates and sponsors.

Jennifer Chow Bevan is a Los Angeles based executive career coach and strategist and has coached over 1,000 professionals through their career transitions and relaunches. With 15 years of professional experience in MBA career management, management consulting, brand management, and investment banking, Jennifer brings her personal experience and success navigating change and transition coupled with her coaching experience to help her clients.

Jennifer served as a career coach at UCLA Anderson School of Management for almost six years, conducting over 2,000 coaching sessions with MBA students. As co-developer and lecturer of the Parker Career Management Series for MBAs, she’s taught every career skill from self-assessment to offer negotiation. Her style is encouraging and results oriented as she helps clients showcase their value-proposition, personality and executive presence.

After earning her MBA from Wharton, Jennifer joined Bain & Company’s San Francisco office as a management consultant, where she honed her analytical and communications skills through strategy projects for Fortune 500 clients. She then transitioned to a career in brand management, joining Neutrogena Corporation where she led the development of over 7 new cosmetics products from concept to launch. Jennifer began her career after college on Wall Street as an investment banking analyst at J.P. Morgan and a management consultant at A.T. Kearney.

Jennifer holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from M.I.T., and an MBA from the Wharton School. She is a trained through The Coaches Training Institute and earned her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach Federation.

Originally from Boston, she lives in Santa Monica, California with her husband and two children, where she is an active board member of the PTA and assistant coach to her daughter's lacrosse team.
