As a Human Resources professional, Jim brings his considerable experience into his practice. Jim has a solid track record of building solid relationships with senior management, employees, and internal/external clients. Jim is exceptionally skilled at aligning vision and strategy to achieve business objectives. He coaches and motivates high performance teams, maximizing productivity. He also is able to effectively provide strategic and tactical counsel to managers and executives.

Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from New York University - Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He is a Certified "Train the Trainer" and Certified in MBTI.

A highly technical executive in a very limited marketplace had been downsized. He did not want to switch or transition into a different role at this stage of his life. The first priority was to get his resume in order, not just in describing his responsibilities, but in telling the reader the value that he had brought to his former company (and could bring to them).

Once that project was complete, Jim worked with his client to create a strategic plan to network. They made sure that his LinkedIn profile was up-to-date and highlighted his value and skills set. Jim urged his client to begin to build on his connections in order to access individuals who worked at competing firms. Since networking was not one of his strong skills, Jim and his client practiced what to say to referrals, either on the phone or in person.

Jim also conducted a mock interview so that his client could build upon his interviewing skills. After many calls and networking meetings, the client was given an interview at one of his target companies. He was offered the job, and then it was time to negotiate his salary using the negotiating skills Jim and he had worked on during their sessions.

Not only did the client get the job at a company that he wanted to work for, he got it with a better salary than he was expecting.
