As a Columbia University certified coach, I partner with clients and serve as a catalyst for change leveraging my extensive business and leadership experience. Working as a trusted, objective advisor, I coach entrepreneurs, high potentials, senior executives, and teams using a solutions-focused approach. My coaching process stays focused on key client goals, supports high impact change, and tracks measures of progress. I also work with clients as a business coach, facilitator and hands-on consultant on business strategy, business development, and team development. I am recognized for my ability to cut through complexity and provide clarity and focus, driving change and accelerating business performance. Finally, as a career coach, I support professionals in career search, career planning and transitions.

How pricing works
CoachMarket pre-negotiates the best prices for our career coaches, and will match you with a coach that fits your budget. Coaches will recommend a package to you based on your needs that includes a suggested number of sessions and deliverables.
Typical price ranges
Our coaches typically charge between $150-$350 an hour. The exact rate depends on the type of coaching expertise, years of experience and industry background. Coaching requires a series of sessions to be effective and coaches may offer special rates when creating a package of multiple sessions.
Billing and payments
Coaches will create a pricing package for you during the FREE consultation and you pay CoachMarket online using any major credit card prior to starting work with your coach. You will receive an email with a link to the payment page once you have agreed to a plan with your coach.

Executive coaching: Typically lasts 3 - 6 months. Coaching engagements are confidential and customized to meet the needs of the professional being coached (and where applicable) the organization paying for the services. Using a partnership and solutions focused approach, I help clients: - clarify their goals (recognizing organizational goals) - increase awareness of self and/or team influence and style through assessments* - enhance their understanding of expectations, perceptions and key success measures through critical stakeholder feedback - explore options and develop strategies for achieving specific, measurable goals.

I work with clients to create high impact action plans focused on key indicators of success and provide support and challenge to help them follow through on their commitments. Follow up and evaluation of goal accomplishment are the final part of the process. Coaching can take place in person, via phone or Skype.

Terry Newman is a certified executive coach and facilitator with over 25 years of experience in business development and management roles at leading financial institutions including as a Managing Director at Credit Suisse and Iridian Asset Management and as Partner and Head of Marketing & Client Service for Armstrong Shaw Associates. Previously she worked at Bankers Trust and Instinet Corporation.

Terry leverages her business and leadership experience in her coaching, consulting, and facilitation. She has conducted assessments and coached executives from ADP, Control Systems, Endeavor Management, GE Asset Management, HSBC, and the US Government Office of Personnel Management, among others.

She has been a facilitator and coach for Columbia Business School students and Executive MBAs as well for senior executives and high potentials at corporate leadership development conferences. Terry is a cum laude graduate from Barnard College, Columbia University and earned her certification in Executive and Organizational Coaching from Columbia University. She is also certified in Hogan, MBTI, NBI and Clark Wilson 360 assessments. In addition, Terry completed Series 3, 7, 63 and 65 in the financial industry.

She lives in Stamford, CT and works with clients in the US and abroad. In July 2014, Terry will become President of the Alumnae Association of Barnard College Board and a trustee of the college. Terry has personal experience with the challenges professionals face as they seek work-life balance. She brings these insights to coaching and workshops.

Coached a group of 8 high potential executives from HSBC during a two day leadership summit.

Coached and facilitated cohort group discussion as executives wrote their Leadership Vision Statements, identified their value proposition, set goals, assessed their network and created action plans. One participant in the group was invited to interview for a promotion. She requested a follow up coaching session to prep for the interview. We focused on the importance of identifying her value proposition and speaking about the benefit to the company. She received the promotion.
