Winnie da Silva is an executive coach with eighteen years experience as both an executive and a management consultant. Her approach to coaching is not a passive exploration. Winnie works with executives at all levels - from up and coming leaders to seasoned senior leaders to executives leading organizations. Winnie works on projects focused on executive coaching, leadership development, team alignment, training design and facilitation, organizational development and change management. She possesses a personal passion for creative problem solving and collaborative work while driving towards tangible outcomes.
During her tenure with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in the Change Management practice, Winnie worked with a variety of clients to create, execute and enhance people and business strategies. Clients included Sears, Allstate, American Greetings, Tyson Foods, Metavante and Bovis Lend Lease. Then as the national Director of Learning and Development for Bovis Lend Lease, Winnie designed and executed numerous leadership programs in partnership with Columbia Business School, coached senior executives, managed several HR projects in the areas of talent management, performance management, succession planning and HR alignment.
As an independent consultant over the last eight years, Winnie has worked with a variety of clients including: Barclays, HSBC, LF USA, Bloomberg, Hudson’s Bay Company, Bovis Lend Lease, Actus Lend Lease, Brightspot Strategy, Symantec, Time Warner Cable, FAA, Associated Builders and Contractors and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
Winnie received her bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University, and holds her masters degree in social work from Columbia University. She lives in a New York City brownstone in Harlem with her husband and three daughters.
Coaching the Founder of a start-up company along with his five direct reports. Focus areas include: leadership development, goal setting and execution, individual, team and organizational alignment and other development areas such as communicating effectively.
Coached a Senior Vice President and her team of six Vice Presidents who are part of a newly created, centralized team leading a new organizational initiative, taking on larger responsibilities and managing more people. Conducted 360- assessments, created 360 reports and subsequent team and individual coaching sessions based on feedback with all seven executives.
Coached and worked closely with the SVP to kick-off the formal creation of her team and to think through her leadership style and vision for the team. Working with a Vice President on her ability to better delegate to her team, strengthen her leadership skills and take her career to the next level.
Coached a Senior Vice President to focus on leadership development, develop better trust and ability to delegate and work with her team and to work on her leadership style as she interacts with her internal stakeholders. Conducted individual coaching sessions after facilitating several executive development program. Coached and worked as an HR consultant with Executive Vice President of HR through major HR transformation to create an HR Shared Services organization.
